Our Calendar includes events and activities of the foundation that you can get involved in. Some events may need specific registration so we have directed you to the right page on our website, or partners website in the notes of the events. You must be registered for most of the events to guarantee entrance.
Volunteering Opportunities
Living River Foundation is a small charity supported entirely by volunteers, everyone is busy and works hard, so we need a large group of people to help out even if it is for a small amount. Dates for surveys, events and training are on the calendar, click on the ‘Calendar’ on the bar above.

Current Recruitment
Volunteer coordinator
Live Recruitment in April and May 2026. The role will help meet and grow the volunteers, manage communication and support other volunteer roles including the founders and the Board. You need to be friendly organised person able to work with lots of different people and backgrounds.

Additional Skills & Volunteering opportunities
- ArcGIS support - We use ArcGIS to present our data, however without the know-how we have faltered in doing so. We are looking for someone who is able to help build dashboards, and interactive maps for insertion on our website, to help analyse the data in a visual way for the public and volunteers alike.
- Underwater camera - We have brought underwater camera to video the progress of the tide. As we do our fish surveys we need someone to come and help us set up the camera and help us process the footage. Any budding photographers out there?
- Clean Up Host - Regular clean ups are planned up and down the Medway, come and join in or gain training to lead the events.
- Guest Speaker/Wildlife Guide
- Data management - Any skills for data input and administration are greatly appreciated
- Fundraisers - Completing applications is always useful but so is coordinators for our stamps and recycling for charities.
- Communication leads - If you are good at speaking to the public we would love to have you share our story at events and talks.
Trustees Recruitment
We currently have several openings for the Trustee roles in the Foundation. The role of the Trustee is to ensure that the Board operates effectively in order that Living River Foundation delivers on its mission, vision and values and fulfils its legal responsibilities.
